There is no denying that Song Joong Ki remains to be one of the most sought-after actors of his generation. As a matter of fact, the former husband of Song Hye Kyo is now gearing up for his upcoming new television series called Vincenzo.

Recently, Song Joong Ki met with the other cast of the imminent South Korean drama series for the script reading. Aside from the Descendants of the Sun star, Jo Han Cheol, Kwak Dong Yeon, Kim Yeo Jin, Yoo Jae Myung, Ok Taec Yeon, and Jeon Yeo Bin were also present during the event.

Director Kim Hee Won and series writer Park Jae Beom were also at the script reading to guide the cast. Song Joong Ki, as per reports, transformed into a cold-hearted lawyer when he started reading his lines. The Arthdal Chronicles star projected so well that he appeared so different from his usual sweet image.

Jeon Yeo Bin, who is said to be the love interest of Song Joong Ki’s character in the Vincenzo series, also portrayed Hong Cha Young very well. The South Korean actress showed off her acting prowess as her character is a type of lawyer who would do anything to win any case. Song Joong Ki and Jeon Yeo Bin even exuded undeniable chemistry, which makes fans anticipate for the upcoming show more.

Kim Yeo Jin would also portray as a lawyer named Myung Chee Choi while Kwak Dong Yeon would act as Jang Han Seo, who is the chairman of the Babel Group of Companies. Song Joong Ki and Kwak Dong Yeon, during the script reading, had a heated argument, showing how versatile they are as actors.

A production crew of Vincenzo shared that the synergy displayed by the actors is more than what they expected. It added that the cast, led by Song Joong Ki, portrayed their roles in different ways, adding that dark heroes fighting for justice in a villainous way are something that viewers should watch out for.

For starters, Vincenzo would center on the story of a mafia consigliere, who was forced to come back to South Korea after he encountered an intra-organizational conflict in Italy. As he heads home, Song Joong Ki’s character would get entangled with a veteran rogue lawyer named Hong Cha Young, who would do everything to get victorious and embody justice in an evil way.

Vincenzo is scheduled to premiere on tvN in February 2021.
