Johnny Depp Furious At Leonardo DiCaprio, Jude Law, Channing Tatum For Abandoning Him
Johnny Depp is, allegedly, furious at his celebrity friends for abandoning him amid his recent lawsuit against The Sun and its editor, Dan Wootton.
In its Jan. 11 issue, Star claimed that Leonardo DiCaprio, Jude Law, and Channing Tatum have decided to turn their backs on Depp after the judge ruled that he’s indeed a wife beater.
Following his recent trial, the judge said that The Sun and Wootton were right to call the actor a wife beater.
Now, Depp’s so-called pals don’t want anything to do with him, and the Pirates of the Caribbean star couldn’t help but become furious.
Depp’s ex-wife, Amber Heard, previously revealed that the actor gave DiCaprio and Tatum rude names due to his jealousy.
Heard said that Depp used to call DiCaprio “pumpkin head,” and the actor also referred to Tatum as “potato head.”
Depp also, allegedly, accused DiCaprio and Tatum of having affairs with his ex-wife.
The source said that Depp isn’t very upset with DiCaprio and Tatum’s decision to turn their backs on him.
But he’s furious with Law because the actor’s indifference cuts the deepest.
“For a time, he and Johnny were brothers-in-arms as they filmed the second Fantastic Beasts movie. From Johnny’s perspective, Jude hasn’t lifted a finger to defend him,” the source said.
Depp previously revealed that he was asked to resign from his role in Fantastic Beasts after the judge ruled in favor of The Sun and Wootton.
As such, the Edward Scissorhands star will no longer be working with Law.
As of late, it is unclear if the tabloid’s claims are accurate. After all, more reliable sources haven’t reported on Depp’s falling out with DiCaprio, Tatum, and Law.
During a previous interview with Cosmopolitan, Depp admitted to torturing DiCaprio when they worked together in What’s Eating Gilbert Grape.
But despite their tense relationship, Depp had nothing but good things to say about the Titanic star.
Depp said that he respects DiCaprio. And he also praised the latter for being hardworking.
As for Law, the actor previously said that Depp’s firing from Fantastic Beasts is unusual.
While speaking with Entertainment Tonight, Law said that in situations like this, one could only defer to the studio.
After all, Law said that he needs to go to work and play his part as Albus Dumbledore.
According to Insider, Depp will still be paid his full eight-digit salary for Fantastic Beasts even though he won’t appear in it.
