BTS Jungkooks top Year-In Reviews once again, despite the New Year has passed. That said, the golden maknae owns the best-selling song of 2020 on the world-renowned online store, Amazon.
BTS Jungkook's Stay sells the most among all albums on Amazon
On BTS's latest album, BE, the second before the album hails the finale track as the best-selling song of 2020 on Amazon. Allkpop reported that the three members recorded the track as a sub-unit song, with Jungkook as the composer and writer.
The said track off BE is initially to be a piece of the maknae's mixtape, but shortly after listening to the finished product, all BTS members decided to include it on its latest album. The matter started as a suggestion, but Jungkook went all-out and agreed to put it under BE.
According to US Amazon Year Chart, Stay is the most sold song of the last year 2020, marking a Korean artist's first time to top the charts.
Other singers who made their way on the No. 1 spot is Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper for Shallow in 2019, Imagine Dragon's for Thunder in 2018, Ed Sheeran for Thinking Out Loud & Shape of You in 2015 and 2017, Twenty One Pilots for Heathens in 2016.
Furthermore, Amazon Best Sellers of 2020 also includes Jungkook's other tracks, namely My Time in No. 5 and Euphoria in No. 18. Both are solo tracks of Jungkook and have always been popular and in-demand since its release.
It is not the first time Stay finished at No. 1 on Amazon Best Sellers of 2020. In November, the song made its way to the top spot, with the "so far" tag by the end of it. However, the music refused to come down and emerged as the best-selling song of the year.
The said list's Top 10 holds half of its ranking for BTS, namely Dynamite on No. 8, My Time on No. 5, Blue & Grey on No. 3, and Filter on no. 2.
The Billboard feats of Jungkook, RM, and Jin's Stay
The sub-unit trio's track entered the prestigious Billboard Hot 100 at No. 22 and is the highest-charting BTS sub-unit track on the said charts ever since.
On Billboard Digital Song Sales, Stay landed at No. 3 with a whopping 58,000 copies sold in the United States alone for the first tracking week. The same charts' No. 2 spot is also owned by Jungkook for his solo track My Time, while No. 4 is where Telepathy sits, which the idol participated in writing, composing, and singing.
