Robert Pattinson Is Finding It Too Exhausting To Meet ‘The Batman’ Director Matt Reeves’ Demands?
Reports have it that Robert Pattinson has had enough after The Batman’s director Matt Reeves’ perfection efforts on the set. Shooting the same scenes repeatedly has, reportedly, taken a toll on the actor.
Many refer to the 54-year-old Reeves as a perfectionist who is living no stones unturned to ensure that each shot in the movie is perfect. It seems that the director has asked the Twilight star to do around 50 takes for a scene while wearing the bulky Batman suit until he thought the actor got it right, according to The Sun.
The director has been, reportedly, pushing Pattinson too much, which has not only left the actor but the entire team in low spirits. The 34-year-old star will be seen in the role of the superhero in the new Batman film, which is slated to hit theaters in 2022 after its shooting had to be stalled amid the outbreak of the pandemic.
An insider claimed that the director often asks to do scenes repeatedly and has an eye for even the minutest of details. At times, he does not even know that he needs to stop, according to the same source.
It seems there is heavy pressure on Reeves to make sure that The Batman is a big commercial success as around £90 million has been already spent on its production by the producers.
While the director is rightfully feeling the burden on his shoulders, Robert Pattinson has had to face a difficult time not only now but even while filming the Twilight films, according to Daily Mail.
The shooting had previously stopped for six months in March amid the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, which meant heavy delays for the completion of the film. Production commenced in September this year but got delayed once again when Pattinson was diagnosed positive for COVID-19.
It was earlier divulged that the crew was working extremely hard to shoot without the Twilight actor in September after he tested positive and was compelled to go to isolation for 14 days.
Filming for The Batman had to be paused once again in between when one of the stuntmen was diagnosed with the deadly virus in November. The infected stuntman, as well as, nine other members of the crew will only return to set after being in quarantine for the mandatory two weeks period.
Things appear to be good on the actor’s personal front though. Pattinson and his girlfriend Suki Waterhouse was spotted on a London road last week. It seems the lockdown has not affected their relationship. Pattinson who usually looks somber appeared in good humor after cracking a joke for his girlfriend, which left her laughing, according to another report by Daily Mail.
The Batman will hit theaters on Mar. 4. 2022. The film stars Colin Farrell and Zoe Kravitz in prominent roles apart from Robert Pattinson.
