Hollywood actress Julia Roberts posed in a stunning strapless gown she had perhaps planned to wear to the Met Gala this year. The actress recently posted this adorable picture on her Instagram page. 

 

It seems that the 52-year-old actress did not allow this year’s canceled Met Gala to affect her much. Rather she decided to pose all dressed up. Roberts uploaded a beautiful picture of her where she can be seen dressed in a gorgeous black and white strapless gown.

 

The actress stood near the window of her huge walk-in home shower. There was also a tub beneath her and she looks stunning in this picture. The actress’s strawberry blonde hair was straightened and down and looked sleek while she had a tiny glass in one of her hands. 

 

Every year, people look forward to the Met Gala, which is held in the month of May. The event has been synonymous with celebrities and actors arriving in beautiful outfits as they approach the Metropolitan Museum of Art. 

 

Roberts shared this glamorous picture to pay tribute to the annual charity event that had to be canceled this year as the nation fights against the COVID-19 pandemic. The star captioned her photo saying: “Here’s me...not going to the Met Ball tonight.”

 

However, there was no clarity on when this picture was clicked because Julia Roberts has not worn this gown to any Met Ball yet. The “Pretty Woman” star seemed to miss the annual gala though she added: “#stayhome #yesyoustillhavetostayhome” to the caption of her photo on Instagram. The country has become pretty restless amid the ongoing lockdown and being isolated at their homes, Daily Mail reports. 

 

The annual event, which the actress was about to attend had to be canceled after several American states including New York where it is hosted every year were ordered to be under stringent stay-at-home orders so that the curve of the coronavirus pandemic can be flattened. The highly contagious COVID-19 has infected millions of people while thousands have passed away in the United States. 

 

In addition to adhering to the strict stay-at-home orders, as well as, cherishing what appeared to be her could have been outfit at the canceled Met Gala, Roberts was seen trying to get some fresh air when she was spotted walking her dogs a few days ago. The star was seen enjoying a stroll with her pooches on Apr. 22, Hollywood Life reports. 

 

She wore a pair of sunglasses to block out the sun and had her long wavy hair down during the walk. Julia Roberts is currently in quarantine with Danny Moder, her second husband, and their three children Hazel, Phinnaeus, and Henry.
