The Friends special reunion episode would be one of the most anticipated TV shows of the coming year. However, a report alleged that Brad Pitt and George Clooney might also feature in the special episode. Here’s the complete story!

The lead actors of the iconic sitcom Friends will be soon seen on a reunion episode. The special episode will be aired over 15 years after the TV series was wrapped up. Reports point out that the episode will be unscripted, and it was originally slated to be shown during the launch of HBO Max in May this year.

However, the shooting got delayed amid the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. Jennifer Aniston, Matthew Perry, Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer, Lisa Kudrow, and Matt LeBlanc will reunite at the same studio of Warner Bros., where they shot the original television show. Perry further teased that the reunion special will be filmed in March 2021, according to Insider. 

It is strange how a report claimed to know the special episode's most secret details though it was previously reported that the management is maintaining tight confidentiality. The report insisted that apart from the original cast, certain A-listers, including George Clooney, Julia Roberts, Billy Crystal, and Bruce Willis, will also make appearances on the show. 

The report quoted a source telling them that Brad Pitt would also make a guest appearance on the reunion episode. While Cox’s daughter Coco will, reportedly, portray the role of Chandler and Monica’s daughter, Rachel and Ross would face a marital crisis, according to the same report. 

It was also revealed that the original cast members were clueless about the plot until they got their respective scripts just a week before the special show’s premiere. However, the story appears to be ridiculous and incorrect. If there was such a hush-hush about the script, how did the report get those secret details about the plot?

Also, while the making of the reunion episode was confirmed, there was hardly any mention of a string of Hollywood A-listers making their appearances on it, contrary to what the report suggested, according to Gossip Cop. It was also learned by the same publication that Pitt was not a part of the reunion. 

Meanwhile, Brad Pitt and George Clooney’s bromance over the years have become legendary. Pitt had gushed about his Ocean’s 11 co-actor Clooney and mentioned that his friend was “a joy to be around.” He also said in an interview in the past while he was a loner; Clooney was much more amicable, according to Daily Mirror.
