Director Oliver Stone Opens Up About Russian Vaccine For Coronavirus
The filmmaker Oliver Stone has taken the Sputnik V vaccine developed in Russia. However, the 74-year-old director said that he is not sure if the vaccine will work for his age group. Moreover, the director said that he is not even concerned about the complications that might take place following the vaccine intake.
Russia has launched its COVID-19 vaccine nationwide and started the distribution last week for the people at high-risk of health, workers, and educational purpose for the age group of 18 to 60. However, some experts have warned people that these medicines could turn out to be harmful to 60 and older patients.
The experts further explained that elderly people develop severe coronavirus forms and the death rates are higher in that age group. However, the director said that he got vaccinated a couple of days ago after hearing positive things about the vaccine.

The Sputnik V's developers revealed that they had kept trials for over 150 volunteers aged more than 60 years, to confirm that the vaccine is absolutely safe. The mass vaccination campaign has distributed more than 320,000 doses so far.
The Sovereign Wealth Fund of Russia, which takes care of the markets and finances, disclosed that over 200,000 citizens had been inoculated.
