Meghan Markle, reportedly, wanted to start a family with her ex-husband, Trevor Engelson.

However, the Duchess of Sussex didn’t want to have babies with the producer.

Instead, Markle wanted to have a puppy with Engelson. And this is the reason why they adopted a six-week-old puppy named Bogart.

In the book Meghan: A Hollywood Princess, author Andrew Morton said that Markle was the one that started a conversation with Engelson about adopting a dog.

Morton said that Engelson was immediately on board with the plan. And he and Markle got Bogart at a pet adoption agency in Los Angeles.

Two years later, Markle decided to adopt another dog, who she named Guy.

When Markle moved to the United Kingdom to be with Prince Harry, she only managed to take Guy with her. Bogart was given to one of her friends in Canada because he was too old to travel.

Several months later, Prince Harry and Markle took Guy with them when they stayed in Canada.

And royal correspondent Rebecca English said that Guy held the biggest clue that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were planning on stepping down from their royal duties.

After all, Prince Harry and Markle wouldn’t have taken Guy with them if they were just on a vacation in Canada.

But as it turns out, the couple stayed in Canada for several weeks.

In January, Prince Harry and Markle announced their decision to quit The Firm. And they stayed in Canada for three months before moving to the United States.

The couple now resides in Santa Barbara with their son, Archie.

This is also where they will celebrate their first Christmas as a family of three. And Markle’s mom, Doria Ragland will join them.

Meanwhile, royal commentator Howard Hodgson accused Markle of just staying with the royal family for two years to up her career in Hollywood.

While speaking with Express, Hodgson said that Markle was determined to advance her career as an actress before she met Prince Harry.

But meeting the Duke of Sussex meant that she had to change her plans briefly.

After being a senior working royal for two years, Markle must have felt this was enough to let the public know who she is.

Unfortunately, Hodgson said that he thinks Markle is just dragging Prince Harry along. And it’s possible for him to end up having a sad life just like the late Duke of Windsor.
