Rumors are circulating that ‘Wonder’ singer Shawn Mendes is already engaged to girlfriend Camilla Cabello after Mendes reveals that his father calls Cabello ‘daughter-in-law.’

In a recent interview on the Zach Sang Show, Shawn Mendes reveals his father’s feelings towards his relationship with his girlfriend ‘Fifth Harmony’ alum Camilla Cabello.

According to the 22-year-old crooner, his father had a very good feeling about Cabello and that it is such a surprise to him because his father apparently does not take things seriously.

He continued on to explain that whenever he would see his father, the first question he asks is how Camilla is doing.

"My dad is never very serious about things, but he would always bug me and be like, 'How's my daughter-in-law doing?'” He shared during the show.

Mendes then talked about marriage and the future, saying that you know when you know, and he has already spoken to his parents regarding the subject.

Although Mendes does not mention any probable engagement news in the coming months, he does claim that Camilla is one of his biggest supports, especially in the making of his fourth studio album ‘Wonder.’

The pair first went public with their relationship back in July 2019. They have since quarantined in Miami, becoming dog parents over the lockdown.

In Mendes’s Netflix documentary ‘Shawn Mendes: In Wonder,’ the pop star gives his fans an inside look at his personal life, and that includes his relationship with Cabello.

At one point, the singer narrates and tells Camilla that he is the subject of all his love songs, saying that when he hears his songs play on the radio, he thinks immediately to himself that all of the songs are about Camilla and that they have always been about her.

Shawn has explained in previous interviews that Camilla helped him overcome his anxiety and depression. He has been touched by Camilla’s perseverance to make him better.

He also gives Camilla credits for making him a family person, someone who is more in touch with his emotions. Mendes explains in VMAN magazine that Camilla’s relationship with her family and friends pushed him to create a better relationship with his own family.

Camilla has also said good things about her boyfriend, expressing how much she has learned about love while dating the Canadian pop star.

The pair continues to quarantine together in Miami, but no signs of any engagement ring yet. Fans are hopeful that Shawn will soon propose.
