One of it is the recent mistreatment allegations thrown at her by some former staff and guests of The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Ellen DeGeneres remained tight-lipped over the issue for quite some time. But, she did was forced to speak out when more and more people urged her to clarify the controversy. The 62-year-old television host said she could not remember verbally abusing or mistreating someone in the show.

The business news outlet even claimed that she is the 12th highest-paid celebrity in the current year and the highest-paid comedian in the world. It revealed that, because of her countless endorsements and talk show, she earns a whopping $84 million annual income.

If that is not enough, Ellen DeGeneres has, also, been into the buy-and-sell business. In fact, she has been purchasing and trading luxury properties in California. Some of her famous clients include Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Ryan Seacrest, and former Google CEO Eric Schmidt.

In a 2018 episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the host revealed that she was poor growing up. Though many, if not all, fans thought that Ellen DeGeneres was born with a silver spoon in her mouth, that was not the case before she became the legend that she is now.

The Ellen DeGeneres: A Biography book, which was written by Lisa Liannucci in 2008, revealed that the writer-producer used to work at a carwash, wrapped gifts, sold vacuums, painted houses, shucked oysters, and sell clothes at the Merry-Go-Round chain store to make ends meet.

Ellen DeGeneres, previously, divulged that she bought a new house when she started making millions. But, now, the host said she can buy as many houses as she can.

Meanwhile, Ellen DeGeneres was spotted shopping using her new Land Rover Defender 100 recently. The host was seen buying some stuff at the Jenni Kayne Apparel & Home store, which happened days after she was reported to have purchased a $49 million estate in Montecito.

Reports have it that Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi bought the property in September. It was, reportedly, owned by Dennis Miller and Carolyn Espley-Miller. The mansion, allegedly, has a total area of 4.3 acres and features a pool house, a detached garage, a barn, and a South African Cape Dutch-style main building.
