Meghan Markle’s life before becoming a royal was one that was not a secret to the world. The ex-actress had her fair share of relationships before meeting Prince Harry.

One of the biggest issues the Britons had with Markle and Prince Harry’s relationship was her past marriage with Trevor Engelson, an American producer. Their two-year marriage ended in divorce after Meghan filed for irreconcilable differences.

Now, a new accusation has resurfaced regarding Meghan Markle’s fling with X-Factor winner Matt Cardle.

Over the weekend, the Sun reported that Cardle and Markle exchange messages back in 2016 before the Duchess met Prince Harry.

Cardle shares his experience with flirting with Meghan calling it a very fun time. He did confess that he ‘ghosted’ the ‘Suits’ actress.

“It was a very weird situation, very odd. And I really do not know how it came about. I have laughed about it, but it is amazing thinking back,” Cardle shared with The Sun.

Allegedly their short-lived affair started back in 2015 when Cardle followed the Duchess’s official Instagram. He claims that Meghan Markle caught his eye in ‘Suits.’

The revelation of his fling with Markle gathered some traction when it was revealed that Meghan and Prince Harry were dating. He addressed the situation during a guesting in Lorraine Kelly’s show.

He said that it was just a little thing, and it was basically nothing. He ended up ‘ghosting’ Meghan after he met Amber Hernaman around the same time. He and Amber are still dating.

Meghan Markle’s past love life has been one of the biggest problems the Britons had with the Duchess of Sussex. Her ex-husband Engelson supposedly helps reveal Meghan's secrets to the British media, but these are just unconfirmed tales.

Furthermore, Meghan supposedly was still in a relationship with Celebrity Chef Cory Vitiello, which she immediately ended after realizing things were getting serious with Prince Harry.

These claims have been denied by the Sussex camp, revealing that Meghan was indeed in a two-year relationship with Vitiello but ended things with him before starting to date the royal.

There were also rumors that Meghan was involved with ‘Wanted’ member Max George back in 2013. The singer revealed that they did exchange Twitter messages and they sparked a lovely conversation, but nothing more happened.

Eventually, their fling fizzled out, and Max forgot all about his exchange with Meghan until he found out that she was getting married to Prince Harry.

Currently, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are in a very happy marriage and share one child.
