Mnet Faces Backlash From ARMYs After Excluding BTS Jin Amid Winning The Grand Prizes
The organizers of the recently concluded 2020 Mnet Asian Music Awards is facing backlash from one of the massive fandom in the music industry. With that said, the BTS ARMYs are dismayed at the said show after the eldest member of the band, Jin, was left out—again!
BTS is 7 trended by the ARMYs
The ever supportive and die-hard BTS ARMYs are delighted to hear the news when BTS secured the grand prizes of the 2020 Mnet Asian Music Awards. However, there is a catch; the fans are not that pleased since the group photo of BTS only showed six members, and it excludes the Moon singer, Jin.
ARMYs then were very swift to storm over social media channels to trend "BTS is 7" to show the network how upset they are. On Twitter, the fans called out Mnet, the organizer of the 2020 MAMA, for not including Kim Seokjin in the edited poster for the awards ceremony, which announces the appearance and performance of BTS.
Undoubtedly, the ARMYs went all out towards the case by putting out the network's right amount of backlash.
One Twitter user said, and as quoted by Republicworld, "I'm going to say that MAMA staffs don't know how to count. They said 10 minutes, but BTS coming out with 2 artists and approximately 6 performances. And #BTSis7 #BTS #WHEREISJIN #JIN @MnetKR @MnetMAMA."
The repeated mistake of Mnet
According to Allkpop, the extravagant awards show took its place online on Dec. 6 (Sunday). The photo that the ARMYs was talking about is when the event introduced the ten 2020 Visionaries and broadcasted the image of BTS, leaving out Jin in the picture.

Shortly after the fans' intense call-out, the network added Jin to the photo in a rerun. However, the ARMYs are not yet finished: they demand an official apology from Mnet for the repeated mistake they have committed towards the world's most phenomenal K-pop group.
On the other hand, Mnet crowned BTS all four Daesangs or the grand prizes. It includes Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, Album of the Year, and Worldwide Icon of the Year, as per Freepressjournal. The band also coveted two more trophies for Best Music Video and Best Dance Performance – Male Group, all for Dynamite.
Meanwhile, BTS neither Big Hit Entertainment addressed the agitating issue, but one this is for sure, the ARMYs will not stop until Mnet does not grant their demand.
Stay tuned for more updates on the situation.
