Selena Gomez recalled her journey as she got candid during the Teen Vogue interview. The 28-year-old singer opened up about her professional and personal life while discussing her self-discovery. Although the actress and singer noted that the position she has reached is life isn't easy.

However, the Disney star said that her belief in herself helped her to reach the goals. The multi-talented star also shed light on her recent release studio album, Rare, and her beauty products with the same name. The actress appeared for the magazine interview virtually and revealed that her previous album was based on self-discovery.

She further said that she wants everyone to know that being vulnerable, alone, not looking like someone else is absolutely fine through her last music album. Moreover, she said that her brand wants to make everyone feel the same way.

Gomez explained that one needs to work really hard and do regular "check-in" with their own personality. She encouraged everyone to ask themselves why they are doing certain things in their life and would back up their own idea of doing those things.

She questioned if people are patient with themselves and noted that there are way too many questions that people need to ask themselves on a regular basis to learn about their own actions.

"But at the same time, it’s equally as important to surround yourself with people who are the ones that are challenging you, the ones that are believing in you," she explained. The Wizards of Waverly Place star confessed that there are many people who say no to her even today.

Gomez revealed how she kept asking herself many questions when she was young. In fact, the actress recalled the confrontation time in her life. The actress said she had many reasons in the past to not move ahead with her profession and not upgrade her life.

However, she believed in herself and her work because of which she has reached a certain level in her life at this age. However, the star noted that she was lucky to find her passion at a very young age, and since then, she went ahead with her passion, no matter what came in her way.

Gomez said that there were many people around her who said no to her and even discouraged her, saying that she was not capable of doing certain things in life. The star noted that no matter what you do, ensure that the quality of the work is always good.
