‘Outlander’ Star Sam Heughan Receives This Adorable Message From Caitriona Balfe On His 40th Birthday
Sam Heughan who plays the character of Jamie Fraser in the “Outlander” series, received an adorable message from his co-star Caitriona Balfe on his 40th birthday.
Balfe is seen portraying Jamie’s wife and her character is called Claire Fraser in the “Outlander” series. The actress shared a clip of Heughan where he is seen making a face on the sets of the show. She teased her co-star light-heartedly on the caption.
Balfe wrote: "Happy Birthday to this ridiculous human being.” The actress jested: “Hope you got the nose trimmer and Zimmer frame I sent you!!! “
Meanwhile, Sophie Skelton, who plays the duo’s daughter on the show, also wished Heughan a happy birthday too on her Instagram account. Skelton uploaded a photo of the actor striking a pose on the set of “Outlander.”
Skelton mentioned that she is sorry that they could not celebrate his birthday together as planned. The actress also wrote that she is “sending all the birthday love“ to her co-star.
Sam is Heughan in self-isolation in Hawaii at present amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The actor was slammed by his critics for living in Hawaii. He responded on Twitter and mentioned that he has been facing “6 years of constant bullying.”
Heughan also tweeted: "It's affecting my life, mental state and is a daily concern." He added that even his family, friends, and co-stars are being subjected to abuse, threats, shaming, and false narrative, UPI reports.
The star mentioned that he did not speak of it before because he always thought “these bullies would just go away.” Caitriona Balfe was one of those who openly supported the actor online.
She tweeted that it was sad that her co-star had to say all this. At the same time, she feels that “a VERY SMALL” part of the fandom say and write such “awful untrue things.” The actress feels that these people should instead channelize their energy by getting involved in local charities.
The actor celebrated his 40th birthday on Apr. 30 but could have been bitterly disappointed that Clyde 1’s George Bowie was not able to perform because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Daily Record reports.
Incidentally, the actor was scheduled to return to Scotland for shooting “Outlander” Season 6. However, due to the global health crisis, Heughan has to now stay back in Hawaii where he was holidaying.
The hit series “Outlander” is currently in its 5th season. The TV show is based on the popular book series of Diana Gabaldon and has Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe in the lead roles.
