The American singer posted a photo on her personal Instagram account on Dec. 4 (Friday), as she celebrates her success on Spotify. The optimistic post comes with the Wake Up Love singer's 2020 Artist Wrapped figures in the worldwide utilized streaming platform.
Hollywood Life finds that Teyana garnered almost 163 million streams on Spotify, leading her to highlight his gratefulness to her beloved fans and supporters as she could not imagine how all of them did that.
However, the seems-like a celebratory post is bait. The singer dropped a vast revelation saying that she feels "super underappreciated" as a singer and an artist. She further wrote in the caption that she receives "little to no real push from the machine" and how she is always being overlooked.
She also reveals that she always gets the "shorter end of the stick" and that her list continues on and on. But with the painful attack of Teyana to the music industry, it seems like she is baffled with her feelings, adding a "lol" post by the end of her reveal.
She then disclosed that she is retiring from the chapter of her story—the music chapter. She then further exclaimed that she departs with comfort and peace of mind as she looks back on all the hard work and passion put on her craft.
She ended her lengthy caption by saying that she loves all of her supporters and that she is extremely grateful for everything they have done well for her. She also yelled out that when another door closes, a new one will open, because if not, she will surely pick up the locks to do so.

Teyana Taylor's retirement because of Grammy Awards?
People reported that Teyana's retirement announcement came after she ridiculed the Grammy Awards for not exempting women in the R&B category's nominee list for the R&B category. The matter came into back up her R&B album that was dropped by her in June entitled The Album.
The singer called out the award-giving body's bosses by saying it should have been the best "male" R&B album as it does not include any female nominees. Teyana cussed out Grammy Awards, where NME quoted that she wrote the word d**k in her backlash tweet.
