5 Most Hated Stars In Hollywood
Many of us have idols and celebrities we look up to. Be it about the way we dress, the way we talk, or even the way we live our lives, we tend to imitate the personalities we love. However, we also have a list of artists we do not like – people who simply irritate or upset us even if we never met them in person.
Star Magazine, in its December 7, 2020, issue, revealed the names of the most loathed celebrities in recent times. The entertainment news outlet claimed that these personalities – whether a big name or not – have the worst representatives in the show business. Here are some of Hollywood’s most hated stars:
1. Ellen DeGeneres
Numerous fans were shocked when reports about Ellen DeGeneres, allegedly, “bullying” her guests and crews in The Ellen DeGeneres Show made rounds online. A number of celebrity guests and former employees of the show claimed that the partner of Portia de Rossi is, actually, nasty and rude in real life. Kathy Griffin revealed that Ellen has been mean to her while Brad Garrett stated many know she has miserably treated a lot of people.
In July, Ellen DeGeneres wrote a letter to the crew to address the mistreatment and bullying accusations. The host stated, in her letter, she is disappointed that her show failed to become a place of happiness for the guests and crew. The host, also, apologized and vowed that these kinds of things would not happen again.
2. Johnny Depp
The Pirates of the Caribbean star has received a lot of hate after his ex-wife, Amber Heard, accused him of domestic abuse. Johnny Depp was even terminated from the Fantastic Beasts franchise in November after he lost his libel case against a British publication that labeled him as a “wife-beater.”
Rumors have it that Johnny Depp is, now, being hated in Hollywood and there is a huge possibility that the actor could lose more projects in the days to come. Some undisclosed insiders even suggested that the terminated contracts could turn Johnny’s life upside down since his career, allegedly, “does not have a fighting chance of survival.”
3. Matt Lauer
A number of women called Matt Lauer out and was accused of inappropriate sexual behavior in the workplace. Former NBC News employee Brooke Nevils even claimed that the Land of the Lost actor anally raped her in his hotel room during the 2014 Sochi Olympics. However, the actor was quick to deny the allegations and claimed that he had an “extramarital, but consensual, sexual encounter” with the reporter. Nevils has yet to comment on Lauer’s statements.
4. Lea Michele
Some former co-stars of the Glee actress accused her of having racist and bullying behaviors while still working on the hit musical television series. Lea Michele, allegedly, made the lives of her black ex-colleagues “a living hell” and even threatened to defecate in a wig. Following the shocking allegations, meal-kit company HelloFresh was quick to announce that it terminated its partnership with the singer-actress.
Lea Michele, then, released an apology letter, which she posted on Instagram. In the letter, the former girlfriend of Matthew Morrison said she could not remember ever making a specific statement about defecating a co-star’s props. Lea even claimed that she never judged people by the color of their skin.
5. Tori Spelling
Tori Spelling, alongside Jennie Garth, was accused of having diva behavior when they were still working on the Beverly Hills, 90210. Jessica Alba, in October, revealed that she was not allowed to look at the eyes of the main cast members during a guest appearance in the show. The Fantastic Four star said she was warned not to make eye contact if she does not want to be thrown off the set.
However, Tori Spelling denied the allegations. It was reported that the Scary Movie 2 star was not pleased after hearing Jessica Alba’s statements and shared how she used to hate her own eyes. Tori even said she could not remember mistreating their guest stars since she has the world’s “worst memory.”
