Jennifer Aniston Revelation: Brad Pitt's Ex Has A New Co-Star In ‘The Morning Show’
Shooting for The Morning Show Season 2 has already started, and Julianna Margulies is the latest addition to its cast, which includes Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon in prominent roles.
Margulies will be seen portraying the role of an anchor in the fictitious UBA News, who is called Laura Peterson. According to Variety, the 54-year-old actress will be seen acting opposite other co-stars of the series like Aniston and Witherspoon.
Some other actors joining the show’s second season are Greta Lee, Hasan Minhaj, and Ruairi O’ Connor. Based on the book titled Top of the Morning: Inside the Cutthroat World of Morning TV, it has been written by Brian Stelter, a correspondent with CNN media. Both Jen and Witherspoon are also the show’s executive producers.
The Morning Show is a drama series streamed on Apple’s streaming service and has earned praises and accolades from viewers and critics alike. The show has had received several nominations at Golden Globe and Emmy Awards and made its debut last year.
Incidentally, Jennifer Aniston bagged the SAG Award in the category of the best actress in a drama series for the same show. The series has Jen and Witherspoon portraying the roles of news anchors on a fictitious US network.
Meanwhile, Julianna Margulies is a veteran actress who has had won several awards, as well as, acted in hit drama series in her kitty. Her acting was widely appreciated in the medical TV series called ER, which lasted for six seasons. She even bagged an Emmy Award for her performance in his drama series.
The actress also won a Golden Globe Award and two Primetime Emmy Awards for her performance in the drama series titled The Good Wife. According to Daily Mail, Julianna Margulies has showcased her acting skills in not only TV series but also in a string of films.
Although the second season of The Morning Show was slated to commence shooting a few months back, there have been delays in its filming after the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. The good news is that filming for season 2 has now started.
Aniston recently shared a picture from the show’s sets in the Stories section of her Instagram page. The selfie showcased only part of her face as she sat on her makeup chair in between the shoot, according to Pinkvilla.
Jennifer Aniston’s The Morning Show was initially scheduled to premiere in November 2020. However, it is now expected that Season 2 will premiere in 2021 or 2022.
