Michael Jackson's Mother Katherine Jackson Plans To Give His Fortune To Animal Shelter?
Michael Jackson’s mother, Katherine Jackson, got almost half his wealth after the legend passed away. However, a magazine now insists that the matriarch now wants to give away her share of the fortune to an animal shelter in Los Angeles.
The pop legend’s wealth had been distributed between Katherine, his mom, who received 40 percent of his total assets, while his three kids also got 40 percent. The rest 20 percent of his asset went to many kids’ charities, according to ABC News.
Although the King of Pop passed away around 11 years ago in 2009, his void is yet to be filled up in the entertainment industry. His music albums still make a lot of money worldwide. Now, a publication claims that the 90-year-old wishes to donate her entire portion of the wealth to a cat charity based in the city of Los Angeles.
It seems many other members of the Jackson have been trying to discourage Katherine from doing so, but the matriarch is not in a mood to listen. Katherine Jackson feels her late son’s wealth has only brought bad omen in the family, and it is better to spend it for a good cause. She also feels that she would not live for long and so should expedite.
While it is true that some of the family members did not benefit from the legend’s will, that hardly means they will try to stop Katherine from spending her share of the wealth if she really wants to give away her share of the wealth. Also, a representative of the family declared the story as ridiculous as Katherine Jackson is doing no such thing, according to Gossip Cop.
Controversies have always surrounded Michael Jackson till the time he died. His former wife, Debbie Rowe, has mentioned that she was not ready to be a mother, but the pop star was desperate to become a father.
So, he did all the parenting after their two kids were born. The couple got divorced after their second child was born, and Jackson retained the children’s complete custody rights.
The duo got married in 1996 and had two children within a gap of 18 months. Jackson had got divorced from his first wife, Lisa Marie Presley, just six months ago.
Incidentally, even Lisa Marie did not want to be a mother. They had disagreements because of this, and these differences could never be sorted out, leading to a divorce.
Michael Jackson died at the age of 50 after he suffered from a cardiac arrest and left three kids behind.
