Trump Accuses The FBI And The DOJ Of Helping Rig Election
In his first interview after losing the Nov. 3 presidential election, President Donald Trump Sunday slammed his own FBI and DOJ for not taking appropriate action on election fraud. The president went on to suggest that they may have even helped rig vote.
Sticking to the same conspiracy theory that he has adopted for nearly four weeks now, Trump angrily denied that he lost the election in his first one-on-one interview since the presidential election. This time, he called out the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Department of Justice for failing to do their jobs of investigating his claims of voter fraud.
In his remarks on the election, Trump claimed he won several critical states, despite election interference from big tech, big money, and big media. He went on to say they won by historic numbers, but the pollsters deliberately got it wrong.
President-elect Joe Biden won the election, but Trump has been using mail-in voting, which increased to ensure voters' safety amid the coronavirus pandemic to sow confusion. He resorted to tweeting and filing lawsuits to promote the confusion, but most of his lawsuits have already been turned down by the courts.
Trump spoke to Maria Bartiromo's Fox News show on the phone on Sunday, saying he would like to file a massive lawsuit backed by tremendous proof of fraud in the election. Bartiromo noted that the president was raising some serious charges and asked where the FBI and DOJ are in all of this, to which Trump replied, saying, "missing in action."
Noting that he had no idea where they are, Trump told Bartiromo that he asked the agencies if they have looked into election fraud, and everyone said yes, they are looking at it. Trump said the agencies showed great dissatisfaction over the matter rather than looking into it.
Trump went on to say that he wanted to stay out of their investigation and wished he didn't have to make that remark. Trump said it is good news that Carter Page sued the DOJ, the FBI, former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, former FBI Director James Comey, and others for keeping a watch on him at the time of the Russia probe, The Sun reported.
Calling the presidential election a total fraud, Trump said maybe the FBI and the DOJ are involved in it, adding that it is unbelievable how people can get away with such massive fraud. He reiterated his claims of the election being a fraud and rigged during the interview.
