Meghan Markle Wouldn’t Have Revealed Her Miscarriage If Not For Prince Harry’s Encouragement
Prince Harry was, reportedly, the one that encouraged Meghan Markle to come forward about her miscarriage.
During her interview on True Royalty TV, royal author Katie Nicholl said that Prince Harry was involved in Markle’s op-ed piece for the New York Times.
Even though he wasn’t the one who wrote the piece, Prince Harry encouraged Markle to share her struggles because he believes that it could help families that are also experiencing the same heartbreak.
Nicholl also said that Prince Harry has been an advocate for mental health and awareness for years since he’s also suffered in a similar fashion following the tragic death of Princess Diana.
The royal author said that Prince Harry and Markle want other people to also open up about their struggles because this is what they have done.
As for the Duke of Sussex, it took him years before he went to counseling. And this is what helped him progress his grief following the Princess of Wales’ demise.
In her article for the New York Times, Markle revealed that she was carrying her son, Archie when she felt a sudden surge of pain in her abdominal area.
The Duchess of Sussex fell to the ground and she immediately realized that something was wrong.
When she and Prince Harry went to the hospital, they found out that they’ve lost their unborn child. The Suits alum admitted that she didn’t know how to deal with the loss.
After Markle shared that she suffered a miscarriage in July, no one from the royal family publicly sent her their well-wishes.
According to The Daily Beast, Prince Harry informed the royal family about what happened before the op-ed piece was published. And this is the reason why Prince Charles and Prince William’s offices said that they won’t be commenting on the matter.
But Queen Elizabeth was accused of being indifferent because her statement claimed that it’s a deeply personal matter for Prince Harry and Markle.
It seemed as though that she didn’t want to get involved with the Sussexes in any way.
However, no one knows what the royal family did behind closed doors after learning that Markle suffered a miscarriage. It’s possible that they offered the Sussexes their sympathies privately.
Meanwhile, some critics are accusing Markle of lying about her miscarriage. On Twitter, several users noticed the similarity of what happened to Markle to a scene from Steel Magnolias.
