There are, allegedly, ongoing tensions between Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles behind closed doors.

According to New Idea, Prince Charles recently found out that the queen is planning a four-day celebration to mark the platinum jubilee in 2022.

The ongoing planning means that the queen doesn’t have any plans to abdicate anytime soon. And a source told the tabloid that Prince Charles isn’t thrilled.

After all, Prince Charles has been waiting to become king for years. And he’s been the longest-serving Prince of Wales in British history.

The insider claimed that the queen wants Prince Charles and their entire family to know that she’s not going anywhere. And even though she’s already 94 years old, she’s still in charge.

According to the source, the queen also knows that Prince Charles has been dying to take over the throne from her.

In fact, the heir to the throne has, allegedly, become increasingly edgy about whether his mom plans to step aside to make way for him.

Prior to the platinum jubilee planning, Prince Charles was, allegedly, under the impression that the queen would retire next year when she turns 95.

However, he feels blindsided because it’s unlikely that this will happen.

But the source said that even if the queen retires or abdicates, she would prefer to leave the monarchy to someone who can handle it best like Prince William.

And Her Majesty has, allegedly, had enough of her son’s scheming. So, it’s unlikely for her to pass the throne to him.

With everything that’s been going on with the royal family, the queen also doesn’t think that it’s time for her to retire.

However, the claims about Prince Charles wanting the queen to abdicate so he could become king aren’t true.

The heir to the throne is in no rush to become king because this means that his mom would’ve died. After all, the queen will never abdicate.

Prince William previously expressed the same sentiment during an interview. He said that he doesn’t go to bed at night thinking about the day he would become king.

After all, the thought is just sad and unbearable because it would mean the queen and Prince Charles would no longer be around.
