A federal judge dashed the Trump campaign's hopes of reversing President-elect Joe Biden's win of the recently concluded presidential election by dismissing a lawsuit that tried to undermine millions of Pennsylvania votes. This decision has dealt a death blow to the president and his allies' efforts to stay in the office, despite losing to their Democratic rival.

The US District Court's Judge Matthew Brann in the Middle District of Pennsylvania wrote a scornful decision, pointing out that the court doesn't have the power to violate the Constitution. This verdict came just hours after the concluding round of filings in the case arrived.

Judge Brann turned down the Trump campaign's efforts to undermine the Pennsylvania vote, confirming that Biden has won the state and the officials will certify the results on Monday. It is worth mentioning here that Biden has a margin of over a whopping 81,000 votes in the state.

He went on to say that in America, this can't justify the disenfranchisement of even a single voter, let alone all the voters in Pennsylvania, the nation's sixth most populated state. Judge Brann noted that the people of America, laws, and institutions need more evidence than what they have received from Trump and his team, before confirming that Plaintiffs have failed to offer enough evidence upon which relief may be granted.

Biden is expected to defeat Trump 306 to 232 in the United States Electoral College, which confirms who becomes the president. Biden is way ahead of the 270 votes he needs to become the next president, BBC reported.

Though the case was highly unlikely to achieve success, Trump and his loyal aides, particularly the president's personal attorney Rudy Giuliani were hoping that the Pennsylvania federal judge will give some credibility to their dubious claims of widespread voter fraud. Backers and the legal team of Trump had pinned their hopes on the state to entertain the president's attempt to reverse the popular vote for Biden, per CNN.

Regrettably, Pennsylvania's long-time Republican Brann turned down their allegations. After the decision was announced, Republican Sen. Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania congratulated Biden as the President-elect, unlike other part leaders and congressional Republicans who continue to back Trump's baseless legal drive.

Brann's Saturday decision marks at least the 30th withdrawal or loss of a case from the president's campaign and his backers since the Nov. 3 election. Republicans have had two wins in the courts, regarding the small number of votes.
