Dai, Maam and Popp go through a massive test as they are all cornered in Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai Episode 9. The upcoming installment is titled A Single Shard of Courage.

The official Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai Episode 9 preview trailer has been released. The trailer video suggests that it is not going to be easy for Dai to face the incredibly powerful Crocodine who is full of rage against the former.

Meanwhile, Maam struggles against Mystic Bishop Zaboera, who first appeared toward the end of episode 7 on the island.

“Dai is overwhelmed by Crocodine’s incredible power. Maam is immobilized by the Mystic Bishop Zaboera. The final blow bears down upon them. Meanwhile, Popp is far from the battlefield. What does Popp feel about his friends’ peril? Next time on Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai, A Single Shared of Courage,” the preview trailer text read.

The last episode of the series starts with Maam announces that she will be joining Dai and Popp. She explains that if they are both disciples of Master Avan, then she is their senior.

Moreover, she wants to carry on the will of her master and fight. Popp feels Maam would be bossing around soon. However, Dai feels she would be reliable for the upcoming missions.

The scene changes as the trio look at the Romos Castle from a distance. In the middle of the night, as the moon shines bright, Dai, Popp, and Maam vow to enter the castle.

However, they are stopped by the guards and informed that the king is already asleep. Popp pleads that they have come a long way to meet the king.

Due to monster attacks, the security of the castle has increased considerably. The guards inform Dai and his friends. And they cannot allow strangers to enter the castle at night.

Popp tries to chat up with the guards but fails miserably. Moreover, the guards warn them that if they force them, they will have no choice but to throw them in prison.

Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai Episode 9 is scheduled to hit the airwaves on Friday, Nov. 27 at 7:30 p.m. ET. Fans of the series can stream the episodes online on Crunchyroll.
