Gwen Stefani Is Quitting ‘The Voice’ Because Producers Want Adam Levine To Return? Rumor Debunked
Adam Levine has been on The Voice for 16 seasons before he decided to quit. While Gwen Stefani may not return to the show for its next season, a tabloid insists that Levine is going to take her place. Here’s the complete story!
A publication claims that the new season of The Voice has not been doing that well, which could be because of Levine’s absence from the show. As Stefani has already decided to call it quits in the next season, the magazine purports that the producers might ask Levine to return to the show.
The tabloid quoted an anonymous tipster who told then that fans miss Adam Levine’s camaraderie with Blake Shelton on the show. The magazine further insinuated that while Stefani wants to work for another season, things could change if the makers decide to bring in Levine in her place.
In reality, though, even if the initial episodes did not get as strong a rating as its other seasons, the show’s premiere did pretty well. Meanwhile, Nick Jonas has already claimed that he would be returning in the next season of The Voice.
When the show returns for its 20th season, the actor/musician is slated to replace Stefani. Incidentally, viewers have been seeing Stefani for the last five seasons on-and-off. Meanwhile, Jonas took to Twitter and informed his followers that he would be back in the next season.
The magazine perhaps wants to create confusion because Gwen Stefani has announced her intention to not return to The Voice in the next season. While it is already declared that Nick Jonas will be seen in her chair, this new report is possibly trying to portray that Stefani is leaving because the executives want Adam Levine to replace her.
Also, Jonas's words are more reliable than quotes from some unnamed sources, contrary to what the magazine would like its readers to believe (via Gossip Cop).
For the universe, Jonas was first seen on the music reality show in Season 18, which was aired at the beginning of 2020. The singer was brought in place of Stefani, whose Las Vegas residency dates were clashing with the dates of The Voice. Incidentally, Stefani has never appeared on The Voice for two consecutive seasons to date (via Deseret News)
It is interesting to note that Gwen Stefani, who is now engaged to her long-time beau and The Voice coach Blake Shelton, has been noncommittal about the reason for calling it quits from the NBC music competition once again.
