Is Taylor Swift getting ready to release a new single or album? 

According to some of her fans, she may have dropped an Easter egg in her latest post on social media. E Online reports that Taylor posted a selfie on both her Instagram and Twitter accounts. Of course, there's does not seem to be anything unusual about posting in one's account. But some eagle-eyed Swifties have noticed that the selfie, which was captioned "Not a lot going on at the moment", was posted at exactly 5:08 pm ET in both accounts. 

Now, this can again be just a coincidence, but there is now a theory that 5:08 actually stands for May 8 and that Swift is getting ready to release something on that very day. The 8th falls on a Friday, which is when artists usually release new material. 

And aside from that, it seems that this is not the first time that the number 5 and 8 have been seen in her works. For her song 'The Man' the music video shows a wedding scene that was preceded by the words 58 years later. 

Fans are speculating whether her new release will have anything to do with the word "heavenly", as she seems to be using it a lot lately. Of course, these all just fan observations and theories and nobody is sure until Taylor herself makes a statement. What we're sure of is that Taylor has no plans to do any live performances this year, as stated on Showbiz Cheat Sheet. She has postponed all her concerts and tours, including Lover Fest East and West. 

Taylor has been enjoying the quarantine time so far. She has given some money to her fans who needed help and even performed her song 'Soon You'll Get Better' during the Global Citizens Together at Home Initiative. Aside from that, she also engaged in another feud with former manager Scott Borchetta and Scooter Braun. She found out that a live album of her songs will be released and she called the action by Big Machine Records as an act of greed. She also sent some birthday flowers to Gigi Hadid, one of her closest friends, who is now expecting her first child with boyfriend Zayn Malik in the next months.

But when she is not engaging with the things mentioned above, she is just taking her time watching old movies, drinking wine, and connecting to friends and family through technology.
