Kate Middleton has become somewhat of a style icon in today’s fashion world. Not only does she get rave reviews as a working royal and a mother, but her sense of fashion also gets a ton of praise.

The Duchess has currently trumped all other royals in entering the top 10 of Farfetch’s Style Icon research. Kate Middleton came in second only to fellow Brit, Spice Girls alum Victoria Beckham as the most stylish woman.  

Farfetch, a global platform for the luxury industry, commissioned a research for finding out who is the most stylish icons in the world are, and the future Queen of England ranks second and the only royal to place in the top 10.

The company also launched its World Fashion 2020, which is an interactive guide that shows fashion trends that are famous globally.

Other women in the top 10 are Chiari Feragni, an Italian influencer, Olivia Palermo, singer Ellie Goulding, model Alexa Chung, Jane Birkin, Lizzi Hadfield, and Bonnie Strange.

Over the last few months, the style of the Duchess has truly taken a turn. Despite royal engagements only happening virtually, Kate Middleton has never dressed down.

The Duchess is known for her regal style, but she is also often seen recycling clothes in events, which has gathered much praise from her royal subjects.

The mother of three also knows when to dress down and has often supported small businesses when it comes to sustainable everyday clothing and her personal jewelry collection.

She recently made headlines after wearing necklaces that had her three children’s initials on it, which was revealed to be a bespoke necklace created by a small local jeweler in the UK.

She has also often paid homage to her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana, Princess of Wales, through her wardrobe and jewelry. She rocks many of the late Princess’s trinkets in important events and can easily be compared to the stylish royal as well.

Meghan Markle must be furious over this prestigious fashion title crowned to the Duchess of Cambridge, as it seems that her sister-in-law is struggling to be the better royal in this narrative.
Despite Meghan dressing out of the box for a royal member, she doesn’t seem to land on any fashion list. Just like Kate, she also wears jewelry from Diana’s personal collection.
