Queen Elizabeth Abdication Rumors: Subtle Sign Monarch Won’t Retire At 95 Revealed
Queen Elizabeth recently made headlines amid claims that she’s preparing to retire after she turns 95 next year.
According to Us Weekly, all signs are leading up to the queen abdicating not only because of her age but also because she’s saddened by all the scandals the royal family is involved in.
The publication singled out Prince Andrew’s connection to Jeffrey Epstein and said that this is one of the biggest blows in the royal family in the past decade.
Additionally, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s bombshell exit didn’t also help the royal family in any way.
As a result, the queen has, allegedly, decided that it’s time to end her reigns and pass on the torch to her eldest son, Prince Charles.
Gossip Cop looked into the publication’s claim and said that Us Weekly was correct when they said that Prince Charles will succeed the queen. After all, there have been several claims that the monarch will bypass her son from the throne.
Tabloids have been spreading the dubious claim that Prince William will succeed Her Majesty after she dies or abdicates. After all, the Duke of Cambridge is, allegedly, more suited to head the monarchy.
But while the publication didn’t follow in the footsteps of the tabloids by claiming that Prince William will succeed his grandmother, they were incorrect to say that the queen will abdicate next year.
The rumor-debunking site noted a subtle sign that proves the queen isn’t planning her abdication just yet. She is, reportedly, already making plans for her platinum jubilee celebration in 2022.
Last week, People revealed that there will be a massive four-day weekend celebration to commemorate the queen’s record-breaking 70 years on the throne.
The event will be a milestone because it will be the first time that a British monarch has reached the platinum jubilee anniversary milestone.
Her Majesty’s 70th year as a monarch is set for Feb. 6, 2022. But the British government decided to move the platinum jubilee celebration from June 2 to June 5 so that attendees could enjoy warmer weather.
Based on this important information, it’s not difficult to say that the publication was incorrect in saying that the queen is already planning her abdication.
If she is, then it’s unlikely for the British government and the royal family to already be planning a platinum jubilee celebration for her. But since plans are already in place, the queen couldn’t possibly abdicate.
