Barack Obama and Michelle Obama seem to have a very strong marriage.

But even their united front has never been enough for tabloids to believe that the Obamas are not one to break.

Throughout the past couple of years, tabloids have been claiming that Barack and Michelle are on the brink of a divorce. And the couple is, allegedly, splitting over the most trivial reasons.

For instance, Globe claimed that Michelle wanted to divorce her husband because of his dedication to politics, as well as his busy schedule.

A source told the tabloid that the former FLOTUS’s real issue is that Barack doesn’t have time for her and their two daughters.

Michelle also, allegedly, felt furious because Barack didn’t support the release of her book, Becoming. And to make things worse, the ex-president didn’t also, allegedly, show concern for his daughters, Malia and Sasha even though he’s aware that they were acting out.

However, the ex-POTUS indirectly debunked these claims. In his book, A Promised Land, Barack admitted that his marriage to Michelle hasn’t always been rainbows and unicorns.

He also said that there were times when he sensed an undercurrent of tension in Michelle, which was subtle but also constant.

Barack gave some reasons why he thinks Michelle felt the way that she did while he was in office. He said that it may have been due to the fact that their family and friends treated Michelle’s role as secondary because she was married to the president of the United States.

The former president also said that his wife’s undercurrent of tension may have been due to his workaholic nature. It is also possible that Michelle struggled due to the constant scrutiny and attacks their family received.

While it is true that Barack’s busy schedule caused problems in their marriage, he never said anything about getting a divorce. This proves that the tabloid’s claims are incorrect.

Months ago, Michelle also promoted her book, Becoming and Barack was with her every step of the way. This also debunks the tabloid’s claims that Michelle didn’t feel her husband’s support while promoting his memoir.

In fact, Barack also made some special appearances while Michelle was talking about her book. And he always brought flowers for his wife during these rare and special appearances.

As for their daughters, Malia and Sasha seem to be doing OK. Michelle previously told Ellen DeGeneres that her daughters are back in school after spending quarantine with them at home.
