Billy Crystal Gives Whoopi Goldberg A Heartfelt Gift On Her 65th Birthday
While this year, the world has faced an unprecedented challenge of the coronavirus pandemic that changed the lives of the people around the world, one thing remains unchanged. Whoopi Goldberg celebrating her birthday on ABC's hit chat show, The View. She celebrates all her birthdays on the show by sharing her favorite things, and this year was no exception.
During the new episode of The View, which aired on Friday, the co-hosts marked their colleagues' 65th birthday with two extremely special guests. Billy Crystal surprised Whoopi Goldberg by joining in Friday's episode from his own home to wish her a happy birthday before unveiling the emotional gift that he sent her.
While virtually opening up the gift, Crystal told Whoopi that it was her favorite picture of them, although she wasn't even in the photograph. He recalled that the picture was captured when they were doing Comic Relief in New York at Radio City, and they were on their way to testify in the Senate along with their good friend Sen. Ted Kennedy to Washington.
Much to his chagrin, Crystal couldn't travel with them because he got pneumonia, according to the clip shared by Yahoo! News. In the photo, Goldberg is seen with the late Robin Williams, who is testifying with her, while holding up a picture of Crystal.
Noting that they did a lot of such great stuff together, Crystal said that he shares so many happy moments with them, and they will always be together in his heart. Goldberg was understandably emotional, as he agreed that the three of them did some good work together.
The three friends shared an unbreakable bond, founded on entertaining audiences and making people laugh. Goldberg met Williams in the late '70s when she was doing standup comedy. They later collaborated with Crystal for the first Comic Relief Charity telethon in 1980, Entertainment Times reported.
The same episode of The View was also graced by iconic singer Stevie Wonder, who sang her a birthday tune. Stevie, along with the rest of the show's co-hosts, delivered a fun-filled version of "Happy Birthday to You," per ET Canada.
Among a slew of other products, she said she uses Healthy Haircare Systems products when it comes to taking care of her hair, ABC reported. She went on to say that the product helps her address multiple hair problems at the scalp and is made using various nutrient-infused ingredients that enhance the quality of your hair.
