Just like any normal couple, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip had their fair share of marital fights. Although they seemingly lead a perfect life, behind all the glamor, this long time couple is nothing short of ordinary.

Royal author Ingrid Seward writes in her newest book called "Prince Philip Revealed: A Man Of His Century" that the couple once suffered a very public heated argument.

Sharing to Fox News, Seward reveals that Prince Philip had a tennis racket and a shoe thrown at him by Queen Elizabeth during their royal tour of Australia.

Apparently, during that fight, the royal couple was being followed by a film crew for their documentary, and the entire fight was caught on camera.

"This film crew was standing outside their little holiday villa. The next thing they knew, Prince Philip appeared on the balcony, followed by a tennis racket and a pair of tennis shoes thrown at his head,” Seward shared.

Shortly after the spat, the royal press secretary on tour with the couple immediately took reigns and asked the crew to stop filming and to give him the tapes, which they did.

The Queen also personally asked for forgiveness from the people who witnessed her and Prince Philip’s fight, saying that it is what happens in a marriage.

Seward also narrates that both Prince Philip and Queen Elizabeth, although madly in love with each other, had short fuses with one another.

Marital bliss is not easy to acquire when you live in an entirely public eye, with each move being watched by an entire nation, but the monarch and Prince Philip have powered through it.

"Prince Philip Revealed: A Man Of His Century" delves into the life and royal career of Prince Philip, one of the longest-serving royal in the history of the British monarchy.

Several aspects of the Prince’s life are discussed in the book, including the latest "Megxit" scandal the royal family went through.

Currently, Prince Philip has retired from being a working royal and has chosen to live out his days in Wood Farm away from the bustle of the Buckingham Palace.

Queen Elizabeth continues on with her work as the sovereign of Britain at 94 years of age. The couple, in the past years, has decided to live out in separate estates but have reunited during the COVID-19 lockdown.
