Queen's Heartbreak: Monarch 'Inconsolable' Over Cancellation Of A 33 Year Tradition!
The Christmas Holiday is a big matter for the British royal family. The tradition surrounding their Christmas celebrations has gone on for decades now, and it has become somewhat national importance for the Britons.
Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip started their very own tradition once they were an established couple, steady in their reign.
The annual Sandringham Palace Christmas holiday of the royal family has been a big part of the history of the new royals. Still, due to Covid restrictions, this tradition has a high possibility of getting canceled this year.
This will be the first time in 33 years that the royal family will not gather in one place to celebrate Christmas.
According to a Sandringham insider, they have been told not to expect the Queen and Prince Philip to come back for the winter holidays.
“We have been told not to expect them back for Christmas,” The insider told The Sun.
It was reported over a week ago that there was a possibility that Buckingham Palace will announce the royal family’s winter holiday plans.
Rumors that the family was planning to cancel their trip to Sandringham were circulating but were not confirmed by the Palace.
A Buckingham Palace representative did reveal last week that, as of this time, it is too early for the firm to make a decision regarding plans for Christmas.
The news already saddens several royal fans as it is a greatly awaited event for the royal family. During their Christmas holiday in Sandringham, the family attends two masses, one in private and the other together with the public.
Holidays like this have created some of the most enigmatic photos of the royal firm. In 2018 the first appearance of the ‘fab four’ was captured.
Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, Kate Middleton, and Prince William were all photographed walking towards St. Mary’s Church in Sandringham, creating a strong front for the future of the royal family.
This would become one of the last photographs of the four royals together.
The royal family’s Sandringham holidays are often a big deal as it is known to be one of the Queen’s favorite estate to unwind in.
The estate has also seen many historical meeting going down in the past years, with the most recent being called ‘Sandringham Summit.’
Royal watchers keep a positive outlook on the palace’s plans and are hoping for the royal holiday plans to push through.
