'KUWTK' Fans Accuse Khloe Kardashian Of Cultural Appropriation
Khloe Kardashian has been called out several times for her controversial behavior. While some loyal Keeping Up With the Kardashian fans do not see an issue with how she lives her life, some of her followers continue to put the reality star on blast for her eyebrow-raising actions, particularly the Kardashian-Jenner clan's long-running subject of cultural appropriation.
The Revenge Body With Khloé Kardashian host recently came under fire from her social media followers for this exact problem, and this isn't the first time she is being criticized. Sending the internet ablaze, Khloe posted a myriad of new photos of herself, along with her daughter True, 2, and ex-husband Tristan Thompson on Nov. 2; they donned coordinating costumes.
In the photos, Khloe and Tristan showed off their royal side by dressing up as Cleopatra and Mark Antony. The Good American founder wore a custom gold ensemble, comprising a gold-tinted cape, black bob, winged eyeliner, and bejeweled headpiece. The NBA star rocked a warrior helmet, crown, metal skirt, and a chest plate, while their daughter dressed up as a royal kid, sporting a pleated gold dress with wings on her shoulders.
As expected, her following took to the comments section of the social media post to share their reactions towards their awe-inspiring costumes. Among thousands of other commenters, matriarch Kris Jenner noted that Khloe looked great in her costume, while her best friend Malika Haqq simply wrote, "AMAZING."

Unlike most comments, some remarks weren't as flattering as some fans showed their disapproval of Khloe's Cleopatra ensemble and accused her of cultural appropriation. Trollers slammed Khloe for appropriating what they described as the Egyptian culture with her Cleopatra outfit.
While one commenter noted that their culture isn't a mere costume for others, another Instagram user pointed out a problem in Khloe's costume, noting that she is not Black. Some social media users' followers came to Khloe's defense, noting that people from various ethnic backgrounds have dressed up as Cleopatra in the past, ShowBiz Cheatsheet reported.
Khloe has been called out for appropriating another culture in the past. She came under fire back in Aug. for wearing cornrows during her vacation trip to Turks and Caicos. Social media users claimed that the style she adopted is linked to the African culture for a long time.
