Melania Trump Breaks Silence For The First Time Since Casting Her Vote On Election Day
Taking to her official Twitter account on Friday, First Lady Melania Trump shared her first message since Nov. 3 presidential election. Her tweet revolved around the youth initiative that addresses online bullying while votes continue to come in for the recently concluded 2020 election.
The First Lady began the tweet with hashtag #BeBest, alluding to a mission led by the White House that addresses a slew of alarming issues facing children today. She noted that Be Best continues to help programs that are similar to the ones she learned about at The Boston Medical Center in 2019.
Mrs. Trump went on to point on that the hospital has shown innovative solutions that can be achieved with the community and medical professionals' combined effort. She had launched her youth wellness campaign two years ago in an attempt to strengthen the three pillars in improving children's lives in the 21st century, including opioid abuse, online safety, and well-being.
Her observation about her trademark initiative marks the first time she has taken to her social media account, or even spoken publicly, after casting her vote on Nov. 3. Although the race for the presidency seems tight, Democratic nominee Joe Biden seems to be getting closer to the White House after positive outcomes in Pennsylvania, Georgia, and Nevada.
Although President Donald Trump made some progress in Arizona, Fox News reported that he is still trailing Biden with about 40,000 votes. Trump and his campaign have warned of legal action, especially in Pennsylvania, to address what he claims is an attempt to steal the election away from him.
During a speech on Thursday, Trump accused Democrats of rigging the election. This remark came after the former vice president started to make significant gains in key states that Trump need to reach 270 electoral votes. Without providing concrete proofs of mass voter fraud, he continues to suggest that votes that have been counted after Nov. 3 are illegal.
According to state officials, in-person ballots were counted first on Nov. 3 and seemed to lean in favor of the president. Mail-in ballots that were submitted before or by Election Day are currently being tallied, but mail-in ballots seem to favor Biden.
Trump tweeted that he would effortlessly win the presidency with legal votes cast, noting that the observers were not allowed to do their jobs, and that's why votes that have been accepted during this period should be deemed illegal. He urged the Supreme Court to intervene. The social media giant flagged this tweet for misinformation, along with several others since Thursday.
On Friday, Trump addressed Twitter's move, noting that the platform is out of control, and its behavior has been made possible through Section 230. Trump has accused social media companies of mistreating him during the presidency, and probably, Mrs. Trump was actually referring to social media in her Friday tweet.
