President Donald Trump and Republicans have repeatedly raised concerns regarding mail-in ballots, with the POTUS previously indicating that he might not accept the outcome if he losses the election. Relatively more positive about the election result, Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden claims he is on course for victory.

The former vice president has urged Americans to maintain national unity, while his rival threatens to put up a fight against the results of the election in court. On Wednesday, Biden managed to flip the key states of Wisconsin and Michigan, propelling him ahead of Trump with 264 Electoral College votes.

Much to Trump's chagrin, he got only 214, while the target to secure the White House is 270. Following a night of tireless counting, During his appearance in Wilmington, Delaware, Biden said that it was clear that they were winning enough states to reach the 270 electoral votes required to win the presidency, The New York Times reported.

Biden explained that he isn't announcing that they have won yet, but is simply reporting that they believe they will be the winners once the counting process comes to an end. The former veep lauded a massive turnout of nearly 150 million, noting that he was slated to win Wisconsin by a whopping 20,000 votes, which coincides with Trump's margin when he won the election in 2016.

He also went on to say he is leading in Michigan with over 35,000 votes and continues to grow considerably more as compared to Trump's 2016 growth. The two states have been called for Biden, The Guardian reported.

The president has urged his supporters to gear up for a legal battle. On the other hand, Biden has requested people on both parties to come together as one nation and work towards healing America. Accompanied by his running mate Senator Kamala Harris, Biden assured he would work as hard for those who didn't vote for him as he would for those who voted for him.

Biden insisted that every vote should be counted, adding that no one can take their democracy away from them, taking a jab at Trump, who has repeatedly raised questions regarding mail-in ballots, baselessly claiming that it will lead to voters fraud. The president now threatens to dispute the election result to the Supreme Court, leading to a messy conclusion of the election.

Realizing that he is on the verge of losing the election, Trump took to his Twitter account to share a series of tweets about establishing a claim on North Carolina, Georgia, and Pennsylvania, which is too tight to call.
