Restraining Order Against Colton Underwood Dropped By Cassie Randolph
Are Cassie Randolph and Colton Underwood mending their relationship after their break up? This is the question after the 25-year-old made the decision to drop her restraining order against her 28-year-old ex-fiancé.
E! Online reports that Underwood has shared that he and Randolph have talked about their differences and have come to the decision that the restraining order against the former Bachelor should be dropped.
The media outlet also quotes a source saying that Randolph has asked police to drop the investigation against Underwood. The couple is reportedly no longer taking legal action and have decided to move on with both their lives.
Early last month, Randolph had successfully extended a restraining order she filed against Underwood. The order’s effectiveness had been extended until Nov. 6, which is when Randolph’s case against Underwood would have been heard had she not dropped the case.
First granted to her on Sept. 14, the restraining order prohibited Underwood from being 100 yards near Randolph. The restraining order also prevented Underwood from contacting Randolph by any means.
Us Magazine tracked how the relationship between Underwood and Randolph deteriorated. After breaking up in May, the first sign that the formerly engaged couple had not split up amicably came about in July, when Randolph protested Underwood’s supposed plan to “monetize” their break-up on her Instagram account.
Randolph claimed that Underwood’s upcoming book, The First Time, would have a chapter heavily featuring her and that it was being written without her approval. Randolph remarked that while Underwood is free to do what he wants, he did not have to make her look like the bad one in the relationship.
Things only got worse from there, with Randolph asking for the restraining order in September after claiming that Underwood was stalking and harassing her. She also claimed that he had put a tracking device on her car.
Randolph and Underwood’s relationship is certainly not the first celebrity to crumble right in the public eye. Last September, musician Ray J filed for divorce from reality star Princess Love. Love herself had filed for divorce from Ray J back in May but withdrew it.
Tracy Morgan and Megan Wollover’s five-year marriage also ended in July of this year. The couple has a seven-year-old daughter named Maven Sonae.
While they are still together, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith encountered a stumbling block in their marriage after singer August Alsina revealed that he and Pinkett Smith had a relationship while the couple was going through a rough patch.
But perhaps the most visible relationship that crumbled this year is the one between former couple Amber Heard and Johnny Depp. While the couple had divorced back in 2017, they have been engaged in legal battles in the United States and the United Kingdom over the past few months.
