Even after the death of Princess Diana, the shocking interview she did with BBC’s The Panorama still creates big news with regards to the royal family and her relationship with Prince Charles.

DailyMail reports that Princess Diana’s brother, Charles Spencer, has hit BBC with big allegations. According to the Earl, his sister was tricked into doing the tell-all scoop with host Martin Bashir.

The allegations perpetuated the ‘fake letters’ the Bashir presented him and his sister in the hopes that the journalist would get an exclusive scoop, which he did.

Charles Spencer is demanding BBC to look into the details of the interview. Charles went on to point out that Bashir contacted him three months before the interview happened, telling him about ‘media ethics’ and giving him information about palace insiders feeding information to the media.

He later on invited the journalist to a private loft, where they were joined by Princess Diana. During the meeting, Earl Spencer alleges that Bashir showed them falsified bank statements purporting that several of the people working for Princess Diana and Prince Charles were giving information to the media regarding their relationship.

“If it were not for me seeing these statements, I would not have introduced Bashir to my sister. In turn, he would have remained just one of the thousands of journalists hoping that he/she had a tiny chance of getting her to speak to them,” Charles Spencer wrote in an email he sent to BBC.

The brother of the late Princess demands that BBC launch an investigation on Bashir for these actions and that to accept the full gravity of the situation.

He continued on by saying that BBC corporation owes the public, and most importantly, to Princess Diana an explanation and an apology.

Last week BBC’s director-general Tim Davie revealed that Bashir did use a company graphic designer to fake the bank statements that falsely showed two senior royal courtiers, particularly Princess Diana’s private secretary wired an enormous amount of money for private information.

Charles Spencer further revealed a letter sent to him by Bashir blackmailing him about false information regarding his apparent ‘affair’ with the nanny of Prince William and Prince Harry.

BBC has already issued an apology regarding the ‘dark’ information about the Panorama interview becoming public, but Earl Spencer is far from accepting.

The Earl is pushing for BBC to further investigate the entirety of the interview’s production.
