According to the documents obtained, the 32-year-old dancer officially filed for divorce on Nov. 3 in Los Angeles, and the process to end the couple's marriage has begun. Before they filed for divorce, the couple said they have been careful about the decision and taken enough time to think about each other.
In an interview with People, the couple said that they have an abundance amount of respect and love for each other, and even after separating, they will continue to the same. Moreover, the duo asked their fans and media to show respect and compassion towards their privacy as they move forward with the divorce.
Many fans speculated on social media that the couple wouldn't be able to save their marriage as they were quarantined in different states rather than spending time together. However, there used to be several reconciliation possibilities, but it never turned true.
Last year Hough revealed that she is not straight and received appreciation. Laich was unaware of his wife's sexuality as she self-discovered herself after four months into the marriage. Hough said that she told her husband that she is not straight and he was surprised. However, she further admitted that she felt safe, revealing it to him after marriage as there was no fear, guilt, or shame. However, a source revealed that Laich is interested in continuing the wedding, but Hough doesn't want to go ahead.
In fact, she celebrated her birthday a couple of months back and Laich attended the celebrations. Although after the separation announcement, Hough decided to stay home while the Ontario Reign team player went to Idaho.
At the end of August, the couple went dine in together to spend some quality time at a lake Italian restaurant as they shared images on social media. Another source disclosed at that time that the couple took each other for granted and now they are working on being respectful and open to one another.
