The birth of Archie Harrison was welcomed with loud applause from the British citizens as another royal enters the new world.

But the announcement of Archie’s birth was one that was shrouded in mystery that even the 2nd-in-line to the throne, Prince William, was angry about it.

According to royal historian and author Robert Lacey, the mystery as to why Prince Harry and Meghan Markle kept the birth of Archie Harrison a secret to the public for a few hours was because the royal parents wanted to protect the newborn from the paparazzi.

Lacey reveals in his new book ‘Battle of Brothers’ that the couple’s decision to reveal Meghan Markle undergoing labor a few hours later than the real-time was because they wanted everything to be private.

"Harry and Meghan were resolute that their newborn baby's first sight of the world should not be the same insane and lethal camera-flashing,” Lacey reveals in his book and reported by Marieclaire.

Prince William particularly scorned his younger brother and Meghan Markle in their decision. Compared to William and Kate’s birth announcement of their three children, Markle and Harry’s was quieter.

The couple also kept the identities of Archie’s Godparents in secret, something that is an unusual step taken by the royal pair.

This particular action was taken by Harry and Meghan Markle also did not get on well with Prince William and he was, reportedly, ‘unimpressed’ by their actions.

Another reason for Harry and Meghan Markle’s decision to keep their son's birth a secret for some hours was because of Prince Harry’s trauma over his mother's death due to paparazzi.

Princess Diana’s death affected Harry severely and the 6th-in-line to the throne battled with depression due to this event.

The couple ended up inviting only a few family members during the baptism of Archie Harrison and Prince William and Kate Middleton did not attend.

Rumors surrounding the reason as to why the Cambridges skipped the baptism is still a mystery for many people.

Prince William and Kate Middleton ended up meeting their nephew eight days after his birth. Several reports alleged that Prince William’s anger regarding Harry and Meghan’s nontraditional approach to the birth of Archie was the cause.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have already dropped out from their royal duties and has since left the royal folds since March 2020.

The royal pair are now living in America with 17-month-old Archie Harrison.
