Chrissy Teigen Pays An Emotional Tribute To Her Late Son Jack
Chrissy Teigen, 34, shared a tribute to her late son, Jack, one month after revealing her pregnancy loss. The former model was expecting her third child with husband John Legend, 41.
She went into a lengthy hiatus, staying away from the public eye but shared a brief post on social media to update her fans about her pregnancy loss. She took to her Instagram and Twitter accounts on Sept. 30. She revealed that they lost the baby after undergoing blood transfusions at the hospital, where she was admitted to deliver the baby.
It looks like Teigen and Legend have now decided to return to a normal pattern as the couple headed out on a date night, as the television personality said in a video she posted to her Twitter account. The star took to the caption section of the 6-second clip to tell her followers that her face is still frowny regardless of how much she laughs and smiles.
In a follow-up post, Teigen shared an adorable photo of her and Legend holding hands. A new tattoo was visible on Teigen's wrist. The ink simply read, "Jack."
Before announcing the pregnancy loss, Teigen had told her social media followers that she was rushed to a hospital due to an unusual amount of bleeding. In her post, she revealed that she had been diagnosed with placenta abruption. In other words, her placenta and uterus had separated early.
The Cravings cookbook author shared a series of photos from the hospital, revealing that she and Legend never decided on their babies’ names until the last moment after they were born, just before leaving the hospital. She went on to say that unlike their previous naming pattern, this time, they had already named their child, Jack, adding that he will always be Jack for them.
She said Jack did his best to be a part of their family, and he will be forever. She even wrote a small note for her late son, saying she was sorry that he faced so many complications during the first few moments of his life. She apologized for not being able to give her son the home he needed to survive, noting that they will always love him, Us Weekly reported.
The Chrissy’s Court star explained why she decided to share the emotional photo in an essay for Medium on Oct. 27. She revealed that she had always had placenta related problems that resulted in her delivering her son Miles a month early because he was not getting enough food from her placenta, noting that this was her first abruption.
