Meghan Markle has allegedly started talking to her estranged dad, Thomas Markle Sr., thanks to her good friend, Oprah Winfrey.

Woman’s Day Australia previously claimed that the popular talk show host meddled in the Duchess of Sussex and Thomas’s longstanding feud. A source told the tabloid that things worked in favor of all parties since the Markle have already patched things up.

“Oprah has got involved in helping Meghan work things out. And her magic seems to be working because Thomas has calmed down and he’s taking calls from Meghan for the first time in weeks,” the source said.

The insider went on to say that Winfrey even planned on inviting Markle and her dad to her Santa Barbara mansion for a peace summit.

However, none of the claims made by the tabloid were proven to be true. The rumor debunking site, Gossip Cop confirmed that Winfrey didn’t try to help Markle mend her rift with her estranged dad.

And because this never happened, it is also unlikely for Winfrey to have invited the Markles to her Santa Barbara mansion.

In fact, recent reports confirmed that Markle still hasn’t spoken to her dad. The last time that the two communicated was before the Duke and Duchess of Sussex tied the knot in 2018.

Prince Harry’s text messages to his father-in-law also debunked Thomas’ previous allegations that he has never heard from his daughter and Prince Harry.

In the Duke of Sussexes' lengthy text messages, which were presented in court, he encouraged Thomas to pick up his calls so that they could talk. Prince Harry also warned the former lighting director to not talk to the tabloids since it could backfire.

Unfortunately, Prince Harry and Markle never received a response from Thomas. Instead, the 75-year-old opted to talk to various publications and expose the dirt on Markle.

During his interview on “Good Morning Britain,” Thomas accused the “Suits” alum of ghosting him. He also said that he contacts the Sussexes every day but they never respond to him.

“I’m very disappointed by it. I’m not sure why it’s happening. I’m reaching out ...every day I try and text her and just haven’t had any comment back. I just keep asking to respond back to them,” he said.

However, Markle’s text messages to her dad, which were also presented in court, revealed that she messaged Thomas before her royal wedding. The Duchess of Sussex also sent Prince Harry’s security team to Thomas’s home to check up on him after he suffered from a heart attack.
