Here's Why Johnny Depp Could Have Stopped Brad Pitt And Jennifer Aniston's Divorce
Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston’s relationship still is one of the most talked-about celebrity romance in the last two decades.
The ex-couple who shared seven blissful years together got through several ups and downs and they did become the ‘It’ couple of Hollywood for some time.
Their break-up was one of those surprising celebrity downfalls as Brad Pitt fell in love with his Mr. and Mrs. Smith co-star Angelina Jolie during the production.
This led to the eventual divorce of Jennifer and Brad Pitt and the couple was no more.
It has been revealed that the split between the two artists could have been diverted if it was not for actor Johnny Depp.
According to Cheatsheet.com, the Pirates of The Caribbean star was slated to play Mr. Smith in the film alongside Angelina Jolie.
Depp’s IMDB page credits the actor as the original Mr. Smith, but unfortunately, he had to drop out of the movie production due to scheduling conflicts.
During Mr. and Mrs. Smith's production, Brad Pitt was still married to Jennifer Aniston, but the constant meeting with Angelina Jolie gave way to new doors for the pair.
The Independent revealed some details regarding Angelina’s thoughts on her budding romance with Brad Pitt during the movie production.
Jolie explains that shooting scenes, going to dance practice and gun practice led to both her and Pitt smitten with each other.
She continued on to say that it was not until the end of the production of the movie that they realize that they liked each other more than they intended to.
After the film’s released, Pitt filed for divorce from Jennifer Aniston after five years of marriage. Soon after, Pitt and Jolie announced that they were indeed in a relationship.
This news was followed by Jolie’s pregnancy of their first biological child. Angelina has three children already, all adopted.
Both Pitt and Jolie had a strong relationship during their marriage but four years ago, the couple’s marriage broke down, citing ‘irreconcilable differences.’
They share six kids in total, three adopted and three biological. The couple is in a heated custody battle for their children, as both could not land on an agreement.
Pitt wants 50/50 custody while Angelina Jolie wants full custody of their children. Her lawyers are will only agree to a 50/50 custody if Pitt allows Jolie to move to England together with their kids.
