Anne Hathaway Opens Up About Keeping Pregnancy Private Amid Filming
Anne Hathaway revealed how she managed to keep her pregnancy a secret during the filming. The 37-year-old actress seemed to have great potential of keeping confidential from people around her. However, she has given an opportunity to the little Jack, who is 11-months-old to share an interesting story with his friends after a couple of years.
The actress recently appeared on Live With Kelly and Ryan, where she revealed how The Witches was filmed while she was expecting a baby. Moreover, she mentioned that the little bundle of joy is technically in all the frames of the fantasy comedy.
Although she revealed the problems she went through during the pregnancy on sets. She disclosed the first time she went for costume fitting to the popular designer, Joanna Johnston. Hathaway recalled that Johnston wanted her to wear a tight waist outfit and because of her pregnancy, she politely refused to have a tight waist.
However, the Academy Award for Best Costume Design nominee didn't take no for an answer immediately and asked the reason to which the actress explained that she knows how constrained she feels around her middle and it would be nice if she could make something loose.
Interesting, Hathaway was the only one who knew during the filming that she was pregnant until she revealed her baby bump to fans on social media. She captioned her baby bump's picture on Instagram and clarified that it is not for a film while she added a hashtag with number two.
However, the Robert Zemeckis' directorial has been dropped on HBO Max on Oct. 22 in which the actress portrayed Grand High Witch's character. In a recent interview with Nischelle Turner, she further revealed details of how she sold her idea to Johnston.
The Dark Knight Rises star admitted that Johnston stopped asking questions after she asked to make a loose outfit and worked with her. Although after 16 weeks of pregnancy, the designer understood the reason why she asked for such costumes.
