Suits star Wendell Pierce recently talked about his TV daughter, Meghan Markle.

While speaking with Closer USA, the actor called Markle a wonderful actress. Pierce also said that Prince Harry is very lucky to have fallen in love with the former actress.

Pierce played the role of Robert Zane in Suits. Robert is the very protective dad of Rachel Zane (Markle). Pierce appeared in only a few episodes of Suits but he and Markle, reportedly, forged a close bond on and offset.

In fact, Pierce was one of the celebrities that Markle invited to her royal wedding to Prince Harry two years ago. Back then, the actor revealed that he spoke to Markle before they filmed the wedding scene in Suits.

While speaking with The Telegraph, Pierce said that he knew Markle’s relationship would flourish after he saw an increase in the Duchess of Sussex’s security while she was dating the Duke of Sussex.

Pierce said that before the cameras started rolling, he sat with Markle and told her that her life is about to change. The actor also told his former co-star that she can call him anytime she needs a friend because he will always support her.

Back then, Pierce also seemingly threw shade at Markle’s dad, Thomas Markle Sr., during his interview on Good Morning America. When asked what advice he would give Thomas, Pierce said that if he really loves his daughter, then he should be careful with what he says.

He also said that if Thomas really loves Markle, it should be done in private because it’s not for the public’s consumption.

Unfortunately, it seems Thomas didn’t listen to Pierce’s advice because he continued giving interviews about Markle throughout the past two years.

In fact, Markle filed a lawsuit against Mail on Sunday months ago after they printed a copy of her handwritten letters to Thomas. According to reports, the former lighting director deliberately shared the private letters to the publication because he was furious with his daughter.

As of late, Thomas hasn’t patched things up with his daughter. But he hasn’t given interviews to the press since the birth of his grandson, Archie.

Earlier this year, Thomas expressed his hope to meet Archie one day. He also said that he hopes his grandson would grow up to have the famous Markle nose that he and the Duchess of Sussex have.

Thomas also said that he hopes when Prince Harry and Markle look at their son, they could see him in the 1-year-old.
