Ariana Grande Now A TikTok Rookie, Promotes New Single On First Two Videos
As reported in Billboard, the 27-year-old American songstress Ariana Grande has recently joined the popular social media platform, TikTok, to promote her latest single Positions.
Her verified account has now reached almost 20 million followers from the day she officially joined on October 25 (Sunday).
Her first two TikTok entries featured a clip of her new White House-set music video garnered over two million likes and almost 20,000 shares each.
The music video depicts Ariana Grande as the US president
In a report by Vulture, Grande plays out her illusion of obtaining the nation's top position, which is being the President of the United States, channeling her inner girl boss.
Much like Grande's other creative undertaking, she took her friends and family along, leaning on the selected people close to her heart for the challenges that come with the top job.
NME reports that the new single is imposing Grande's next era as it conveys her towering ambition. It is said to give a whole new meaning when one listens to the song and watch the music video. It proclaims the power and multi-faceted nature of women who are presently "switching positions."
The report further finds that the music video is bold, appearing as a reminder that if one assigns a woman in a boardroom, it can only lead to a better place. Also, women should not have to choose between the domestic sphere and career.
Positions (stylized in all lowercase) is said to be Grande's lead single off her quarantine album of the same name. Republic Records released the track on October 23 (Friday).
