Kelly Clarkson Reveals Her Guide To Date After Filing Divorce
Kelly Clarkson has been making headlines for various reasons, be it her talk show, being a judge on the show, or her split with husband, Brandon Blackstock. The 38-year-old singer and songwriter recently opened up about dating and shared advice to young people.
The Kelly Clarkson Show host opened up during her show when a fan asked how to take her relationship to another level with her crush. The fan wrote that his crush often sends emojis to her with a heart popping out of the eye on Instagram and she doesn't have his number nor he ever asked for her number.
The fan further revealed that she wants to take the relationship ahead but doesn't know how to convince her crush. The former American Idol winner responded to the fan immediately and said that her crush doesn't seem to be interested in her.
However, Clarkson took the time to explain her statement and said that it is difficult for her to understand why anyone wants to run after a person who shows affection only in front of other people or on a public platform.
The host further explained that these kinds of people only show their love in front of other people around but one needs to understand that what happens behind closed doors is more important rather than in front of others.
Clarkson admitted that the essential moments you spend with a person is behind closed doors. She compared the situation with a book, He's Just Not That Into You, and said that it's alright to be in the place addressing the fan. She also disclosed that everyone has been in that place.
Marlon Wayans also joined Clarkson while she was giving the dating advice and said that he is old school and believes that if a man is serious about you and wanted to spend time with you, then he will definitely ask you out and take you on a date. In fact, that person will "chase you."
The 48-year-old actor appeared on the talk show as a guest on that episode. He continued to advise that women should play hard and let men chase them. However, if a man doesn't seem to chase you, then simply "let him go." He concluded that women should act as a gift and not the man. Meanwhile, Clarkson performed twice on Harry Styles' cover song in the same month.
