Gwyneth Paltrow Reveals Her Daughter's Sense Of Entitlement
Gwyneth Paltrow is a proud mother! Yes, the 48-year-old actress recently opened up about her daughter, Apple Martin, and appreciated her sense of entitlement. The mother of two said that her 16-year-old daughter had developed a sense of gender equality, making her self-assertive and strong.
During a virtual interview session with Adobe MAX, the actress explained how delighted she feels looking at her empowered daughter. Paltrow admitted admiring the outlook her daughter has grown towards life and how she belongs to a new era that bank on nothing but equality amongst all gender.
The actress recently disclosed that her opinion on the upcoming generation is not limited to Goop, a luxury brand owned by the Oscar winner. Besides jade eggs and a scented candles, the Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow star revealed her own belief on the hot topic of gender equality.
The actress said till the time her daughter is in the workforce, she is glad that Apple and her friends will not settle for anything less. Paltrow referred to the gap between the salary or wages of employees based on gender, which has been part of American society.
She further gushed over her daughter and her friends for being absolutely "empowered." She revealed that the groundwork is going on to bring the necessary change into society. However, the actress believes that the #MeToo movement has played a huge role in initiating the change.
Moreover, she addressed the Black Lives Matter movement as an important change in the society that has been witnessed in recent times. Paltrow said that everyone collectively in society and culture is no more accepting the "paradigm of patriarchy" created by white men.
Paltrow noted that Hollywood is also changing and becoming a more comprehensive workplace for women. The actress said that it feels heartening uplifting that everyone is eventually heading in the same direction.
She took a dig at patriarchy and said that it is already cracking while there are various genders, races and voices getting embrace on public platforms. Although she addresses her teenage daughter to explain that these girls are not "spoiled," rather, they are asking for similar things that boys are already entitled to get.
Aside from Apple, the actress shares Moses Martin with her ex-husband Chris Martin. The 43-year-old singer and songwriter revealed a couple of weeks back that the duo will keep their children as a priority even after divorce.
