Here's Why It's Crucial That Prince Charles Reconcile Prince William And Prince Harry Before The Year Ends
The rift between royal brothers Prince William and Prince Harry has been going on for months now. It has only been increasing, especially after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle decided to split with the royal firm.
In Robert Lacey’s newest book ‘Battle of Brothers: William, Harry and The Inside Story of a Family in Tumult,’ the royal historian reveals the real reason for Prince William and Harry’s fight.
It offers a different look at what is happening behind closed doors in the royal family’s lives compared to the unofficial Sussex biography ‘Finding Freedom.’
Lacey explains in Cosmopolitan that Prince William and Harry’s relationship is beyond repair and that only one person could reconcile the brothers.
He continued to explain that Prince Charles could be the bearer of the olive branch for both brothers.
“I’d rather hope that behind the scenes, Charles is at work mending the fences [and] building the bridges,” Lacey said in an interview with US Weekly.
The fact remains that the palace has stayed mum regarding Prince William and Harry’s feud and has not confirmed whether the two are on actual good terms or not.
Prince Charles, according to Lacey, is a ‘channel’ that has yet to be explored. As the father of both Princes, he is the last remaining royal authority that Prince Harry is especially bound to.
Publicly the pair of princes have stopped trash-talking each other. Lacey believes that behind closed doors, they are still full of anger and resentment towards each other.
Prince Harry decidedly left the royal folds, together with his wife, ex-actress Meghan Markle and son Archie Harrison. They are now living in the United States.
Lacey also shares his opinion regarding the ‘amenability’ of William and Harry’s relationship. The author believes that William will eventually rebuild bridges with the Sussex as it is his responsibility as the future ruler of England to not put a rift in the family.
Lacey is also a well known royal historian and an advisor for Netflix’s the crown. He continued by saying that England had only five bad Kings in its history.
‘Battle of Brothers’ author deems it that Prince William does not want to be the sixth one. Thus completely mending his relationship with his little brother is of importance.
The rumors of Harry returning to the UK this year have also been up in the air, but this is yet to be confirmed.
