2020 is the year of change and new ventures, as fans of the 51-year-old American singer Gwen Stefani were stunned when Hollaback Girl was sung by Gwen, tagging along in a country beat.

Gwen's mesmerizing performance took place on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on its Oct. 19 (Monday) episode. The performance kicked off with the late-night host, Jimmy Fallon, seated on a hut chair while wearing an enormous desert hair. Jimmy introduced Gwen's performance by addressing the upcoming entertainment piece as for those who "love the sweet sounds of downhome country music."

As per Hollywood Life, Gwen donned an outfit that best resembles Dolly Parton's humble beginnings, then sang and performed three of her chart-topping songs. The songs include Spiderwebs, Don't Speak, and Hollaback Girl. But what made the performance fascinating and sweet is the inspirations and impressions of Gwen to her 44-year-old boyfriend, Blake Shelton.

CMT Awards uplift Gwen and Blake's collaboration for Nobody But You earned the award-giving body's attention as it is nominated for Collaborative Video of the Year.

When asked about the matter, the singer-songwriter said that it felt weird. The nomination utterly feels like something unusual because, as an artist, she had shifted and experimented in various genres, making it very difficult for her to settle in one. However, the nomination is something she never imagined to happen.

She then continued by sharing her childhood, saying that she grew up in the country culture and had her first concert experience with singer Emmylou Harris during her girl scouts days. Having that said, it is crazy for her to think that she is on two country records.

Nevertheless, although it is hard for her to believe that she is a country radio, she feels honored to be nominated.

Furthermore, Gwen is slated to release country music pieces as she has written more than 24 songs that hail country as the genre.
