MAGA world is joining forces with mainstream conservatives to incite strong criticism over Facebook and Twitter bias in the concluding week of the election, with complete certainty that the handling of a Hunter Biden report corroborates the long-standing MAGA complaints. These complaints have now become top talking points for the Republicans.

Twitter and Facebook’s move to restrict their users from sharing a New York Post story about the younger Biden, citing policies meant to quell the distribution of hacked materials and questionable articles, is being touted as proof in MAGA world, accusing the social media giants of having a liberal agenda. Moreover, these companies are facing allegations of protecting liberals and censoring conservatives.

Republicans agree to this theory and have intensified their plans to vote on subpoenas that would force the companies' chief executives to testify on the issue. If that comes to fruition, it would be on top of another hearing slated to take place on next Wednesday, when Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey and Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg will be answering questions regarding the liability protections the tech behemoths enjoy for the content shared on their platforms.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy and several other Republican lawmakers have hinted at changes in how they wanted to keep tabs on social-media platforms. Moreover, White House chief of staff Mark Meadows has threatened to sue Facebook and Twitter over the issue, POLITICO reported.

The rush of activity restricts an anti-Big Tech maneuvering among conservatives, from frustration over Twitter's move to includes disclaimers on tweets from President Donald Trump to Attorney General Bill Barr’s decision to file an antitrust case against search engine giant Google just days ahead of the election. But now, the handling of the Post's report has promoted a long time MAGA complaints about social media bias right to the top of Republicans' topics that invite argument.

Prominent conservative lawyer Ron Coleman said the incident has proved that all the right's incoherent talk was correct. Known for his work on free speech issues and tech censorship, Coleman noted that the incident also shows that there is no neutrality on social media platforms.

For a long time, conservatives have claimed that social media companies have tried to silence them through multiple subtle means, saying that the videos are not made available on their subscribers’ Facebook feeds. Their accounts do not show up when searched, and the companies label their content as misinformation or promoting violence, even though they don't.
