The comedy-drama series Gilmore Girls was aired from 2000 to 2007. The TV series always commented on when something happened in pop culture. In one particular episode in 2002, Lorelai and Rory Gilmore might have foreseen the end of Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston’s marriage.

Many years before they parted ways, Amy Sherman Palladino wrote an episode of the series Gilmore Girls. The episode was a part of season 2 and covered the wedding of Sookie St. James and Jackson Belville. 

Meanwhile, Christopher Haydon, Lorelai’s on-again, off-again boyfriend and Rory’s dad, told him that his and Sherry’s relationship was likely to fail. Lorelai could not keep the news a secret and asked Rory about who could be breaking up. 

Rory thought her mom could have been hinting at somebody famous. She jested, was it “Brad and Jen?” On the other hand, Lorelai was shocked at her daughter’s suggestion before she stated that it was her dad, who was soon going to be single. 

The show was full of references to the then pop culture. Many celebrities were mentioned in multiple TV shows over its seven-season run. The reference to Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston was the only occasion when the duo spoke about the possibility of the split of a married couple, though.

So, people could debate that the show forecasted their divorce.
